Junior Java Developer, permanent, £32k - £40k
We're seeking a smart junior Java developer to join our agile software development team. The work will reflect our needs and your interests. You may be asked to develop and/or connect to web services, create high performance search algorithms, implement Real Time systems, or develop elegant applications for the iPhone, Android, mobile web, or web. Responsibilities- Work on next generation mobile and web travel software
- Develop and/or connect to web services, create high performance search algorithms, implement Real Time systems, and develop elegant applications for the iPhone, Android, mobile web, or web
- Embrace agile practices and deliver well designed, well tested, high quality code
- Demonstrate creativity, initiative, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
- We hire smart, hard working, team players
- Bachelor of Computer Science or higher preferred
- Demonstrable ability to implement complex algorithms and deliver software to a demanding schedule, with excellent problem solving and debugging skills
- Strong knowledge of Java and web application development. JEE is a plus
- Good knowledge of web standards and protocols including Javascript, HTML, CSS, HTTP
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux or Windows
- Mobile development experience on the iPhone or Android is a plus
